Applications for authorization

Requests for authorization are required under section 22 of the MELCC's LQE in order to open a sand pit or a quarry, to carry out work along waterways, to carry out in situ environmental rehabilitation and for many other activities (use of an industrial process: emission, deposit, release or discharge of contaminants into the environment).

The purpose of an environmental compliance audit conducted in accordance with the Canadian Standards Association standard, CSA Z773-03, is to collect and evaluate the level of compliance with environmental laws, regulations, guides, codes and standards that may apply to your company.

Rehabilitation work

Rehabilitation work

In application of certain articles of Division IV of Chapter IV of the Environment Quality Act (LQE - Law 72), a rehabilitation plan or a declaration of conformity previously approved by the MELCC is mandatory before proceeding with rehabilitation work.
